DAY 2 : AIRPORT – NEGOMBO
Meet and assist on arrival at Airport by our Representative
Transfer from Airport to Negombo. (Approx 30minutes )

DAY 3 : NEGOMBO – CHILAW – PINNAWALA – HABARANA
After breakfast proceed to Chilaw to the Muneeshwaram Temple. (Approximately 60 Minutes ) After his victorious battle, Lord Rama left for Ayodhya, in one of King Ravana”s vimana (carriages).He felt he was being followed by bramhaasthi dosham as he had killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin. Legend has it that when he came to this place he felt bramhaasthi dosham was not following him and he stopped the vimana and asked God Shiva for a remedy. Lord Shiva blessed Lord Rama and advised him to install four lingams there and pray to get rid of the dosham. Since then many Hindu devotees flock to the Temple.
Having visited the above temple, proceed to Mannavari Temple. (Approx 20 Minutes) Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed to by Lord Rama and this lingam is also called Ramalinga Shivan.
Proceed to Habarana. (Approx 3 hrs) En route you will stop at the delightful Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to about 80 elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. A walk with the elephants to the nearby river to see ‘bath time’ is something not to be missed. Leaving the elephants behind you will continue your journey.

DAY 4 : HABARANA – SIGIRIYA – HABARANA
Morning at leisure while enjoying some of the excellent facilities of the hotel.
In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to climb the 5th century rock citadel, now a listed UNESCO World Heritage site. Sigiriya Rock Fortress, also known as ‘Lion’s Rock’ stands at 180 meters tall and is a magnificent sight. Ascend the steep stairs – 1200 in total – to reach the dizzying summit of the fortress, admiring the colorful frescoes that adorn the side of the rocks along the way.

DAY 5 : HABARANA – POLONNARUWA -HABARANA
Following breakfast we head to the World Heritage site of Polonnaruwa, about a 60 minute drive from the hotel. Polonnaruwa is a sacred city with spectacular shrines and statues from the great Buddhism civilization. Visit the ruins of the Royal Palace and Gal Viharaya (three splendid carved statues of the Buddha), the Lotus Bath and 12th century Polonnaruwa statue.

DAY 6 : HABARANA – DAMBULLA – MATALE – KANDY
After early breakfast it’s time to check-out and drive to Kandy. (Approx 3.5 hrs)
En route stop at Dambulla Rock Temple.(Approx. 30 minutes) The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings, is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters.
Your next stop is Matale (Approx. 1 hr 30 minutes) where we will visit a spice garden. You will learn about the many processes that result in Sri Lanka producing some of the best spices in the world as well as see how they are used in traditional local cooking.
You continue your journey (approx. 1 hour) to the picturesque city of Kandy.

DAY 7 : Morning at leisure.In the afternoon embark on a city tour.

DAY 8 : KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast you will be taken to Nuwara Eliya. On the way there, visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, Ramboda (Approximately 1 ½ Hrs Drive) On these hills of Ramboda where Hanuman was searching for Sitadevi, the Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka built a temple with Hanuman as the presiding deity. On every full moon day special pooja’s are conducted and witnessed by thousands of devotees.
En route drive into Sri Lanka’s rich heritage with a visit to a tea plantation and tea factory set in a beautiful lush landscape. Learn about the cultivation of the tea leaves – one of Sri Lanka’s most famous exports, walk through the manufacturing process and enjoying tastings to appreciate the difference in strength and flavor of the leaves.
After, check into the hotel and spend some time at leisure. In the evening visit the Gayathri Peedam in Nuwara Eliya. It is believed to be the place from where King Ravana’s son Meghanath propitiated Lord Shiva with penance and poojas and in turn was granted super natural powers by lord Shiva.

DAY 9 : NUWARA ELIYA – COLOMBO
After breakfast do a visit to the HAKGALA BOTANICAL GARDEN. Hakgala Garden is the exotic pleasure garden where king Ravana kept the depressed Sita, insisting that she marry him. It was here where the heart-warming meeting took place between her and Hanuman, who brought her Rama’s ring with the news that Rama was looking for her. He offered to carry her back but she refused saying it would be an insult to Rama’s honour if he did so. Part of this majestic garden still exists. It is also said that Hanuman nearly destroyed it in order to prove to Ravana of the forces against him. Visit to the SEETHA AMMAN TEMPLE . The stream that runs from the hill, catered to the needs of Sita Devi during her stay at Ashok Vatika. She is said to have bathed in this stream. About a century ago of three idols were discovered in the stream, one of which was that of Sita. It is believed that the idols have been worshipped at this spot for centuries. Now there is temple for Lord Rama, Sitadevi, Luxshmana, and Hanuman by the side of this stream. It is interesting to note that foot prints akin to Lord Hanuman’s are found by this river and some are of small size and some are of large size, which tells us of the immense powers of hanuman transforming himself into any size.
Proceed to Colombo. (Approx 5 hrs)
In the evening enjoy a city tour in Colombo.
